OnWay Rides is a mobility platform that may support ride booking, delivery, rentals, airport travel, scheduled transport, driver onboarding, and related support operations. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, stored, retained, shared, and deleted across the website, mobile app, authentication systems, and support tools used to operate the service.

1. Developer and contact information

2. Information we may collect

  • Account details such as name, phone number, email address, profile image, referral or login identifiers, and account authentication identifiers.
  • Phone numbers and country codes collected after Google sign-in or email/password sign-in so that riders can be contacted for operational updates, support, and future account recovery.
  • Trip and service data such as pickup and drop-off points, service type, booking time, scheduled rides, ride status, offers, support history, and complaints.
  • Location-related information used to match rides, show trip progress, support dispatch, detect fraud or abuse, and improve service operations.
  • Driver, fleet, and vehicle documents used for verification, onboarding review, and compliance checks.
  • Device, diagnostic, and usage information used to improve performance, detect abuse, and maintain reliability.
  • Payment, payout, and wallet-related metadata where applicable, but not full card data unless handled through a compliant payment provider.

3. How we use information

  • To create and manage user accounts.
  • To authenticate users and keep authorized accounts connected across the OnWay Rides platform.
  • To collect a working rider phone number after sign-in so users can receive service-related communication and account assistance.
  • To provide ride, delivery, rental, airport, and prebooking services.
  • To review driver and fleet onboarding documents.

  • To improve product performance, trust, safety, fraud detection, and service operations.

3A. Marketing and contact preferences

OnWay Rides may ask users to optionally opt in to promotional SMS or WhatsApp updates after account sign-in. These marketing preferences are optional and are separate from essential service communications such as booking updates, support replies, safety notices, or operational contact attempts. Where phone verification is enabled, OnWay Rides may use OTP verification to confirm that a provided number belongs to the signed-in user before granting full app access.

4. Sharing of information

OnWay Rides may share limited information with riders, drivers, fleet partners, service providers, hosting providers, support teams, payment providers, authentication providers, and legal authorities where reasonably necessary to operate the platform, comply with the law, or protect users and the business.

5. Security and storage

OnWay Rides uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Sensitive driver and vehicle documents are intended to be stored using restricted-access systems rather than openly published folders. Users should still keep their device access, passwords, and account credentials protected.

6. Service improvement notes

OnWay Rides may collect operational and feedback information to improve service flow, review issues faster, strengthen reliability, and guide future platform improvements. Feature availability and usage policies may change as the service grows.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the platform, provide support, comply with legal obligations, investigate abuse, maintain accounting records, and resolve disputes. When a valid account deletion request is completed, OnWay Rides will delete or anonymize account-linked data where reasonably possible. Some records may still be retained after account deletion where required by law or for legitimate safety, fraud, financial, dispute, or audit purposes.
