Account Deletion Instructions
If you want to delete your OnWay Rides account, use one of the following methods:
1. In-app deletion path
- Open the OnWay Rides app.
- Go to the profile or account area.
- Select the privacy or delete-account option.
- Follow the support-guided deletion request flow or open this page from the app.
2. Request deletion by email
- Send an email to support@onwayrides.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
- Include the phone number or email address linked to your account.
- Include whether you are a rider, driver, fleet partner, or merchant user.
- Our support team may contact you to verify the request before deletion is processed.
3. Request deletion through support
If the in-app support channel is available in your version of the app, you may also request deletion there and quote the same registered account information. This web page exists so users do not need to reinstall the app to start the deletion request.
4. What we delete
- We will delete or anonymize account profile information where reasonably possible.
- Access to the app account will be removed once the deletion request is completed.
- Stored phone numbers and saved contact preference metadata, including optional SMS or WhatsApp marketing settings, will be deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.
- Trip, support, or operational profile data that is no longer required for legal, accounting, dispute, or security reasons will be removed or anonymized.
5. What we may retain
- Records required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security investigations.
- Financial, audit, or transaction records that must be retained under applicable business or legal obligations.
- Driver or fleet review records where retention is reasonably required for compliance or abuse prevention.
6. Additional steps before deletion
If there are unresolved bookings, disputes, safety investigations, payout issues, or legal obligations linked to the account, OnWay Rides may need to resolve or document those items before the deletion request can be fully completed.
7. Processing time
Deletion requests are generally processed within 7 business days after identity verification, although some cases may take longer if there are unresolved safety, legal, financial, compliance, or dispute-related issues.
